In the great scheme of things, what we are up against here at The Hillyfield is a mere mole-hill.... but boy has it seemed like a mountain!
When the world seems to be shaking at the seams life can rapidly come into focus with a clarity often lost in the busyness of our day-to-day activity.
Here at the Hillyfield a small team of us have been nose to the grindstone, honing the sharp edge of the axe we will use to cut through the red-planning tape and bureaucratic nightmares which have enveloped us for the past year.
To be on the wrong side of the planners is a terrible thing. And here on Dartmoor, without their say so, it is nigh impossible to breathe, let alone achieve all it takes to create a living thriving working woodland in a severely challenged landscape which has been neglected for 35years or more.
However - we have nearly broken the back of this mole-hill. Our papers are being filed, ordered, proof-read and bundled together in preparation for our wonderful barrister to arm himself and get ready to face Dartmoor National Park at our Public Inquiry on March 16th and 17th 2017.
For those of you who want to know the ins and outs of this woodland case - then visit 'The Appeal' and you will find a feast of words. For those of you who prefer to get out under the trees than fill your head with the nonsense, countless folders and legal arguments, then leave this screen now and come help us plant some trees!
And all of you, please come support us at Parke, the Dartmoor National Park HQ, Bovey Tracey to listen to the appeal on 16th and 17th March 2017, 10am start!
All the best
